Why do we think disposable earplugs are the best for sleeping?
1. Reusable earplugs for sleeping tend not to be as soft
Reusable earplugs are generally made from plastic or a hard silicon, which is why they are considered washable.
This is not great, especially for sleeping on your side.
2. Reusable earplugs can fall out.
Reusable earplugs tend not to go in as far into your ear canal, and being firmer, means they are more likely to fall out while you are sleeping.
Imagine looking around for a small earplug in your bed, and then putting it back in your ear, yuck.
3. Reusable earplugs for sleeping need to be cleaned regularly.
You could either re-use them without washing them and risk a painful ear infection, or wash them daily, either way that's inconvienient.
If you really want to wash and reuse sleeping ear plugs, you could just wash and reuse ours, they are silicon, not foam, earplugs.
Personally though, I would just stock up on a 3 months supply of disposable earplugs and look after your ears and comfort.

We first thought about what really effects sleep quality.
While sound blocking is important, we decided that comfort was the most important factor for sleep quality.
Wearing earplugs can be uncomfortable, especially if you are a side sleeper, which is not going to help you sleep better, no matter how much sound blocking they do.
And even if you don't have sensitive ears, soft foam earplugs and others, can irritate your ears if worn night after night. That's why we chose silicon, and not foam.
So we first selected our earplugs for comfort.
It was only later that we were asked by one of our customers what the noise reduction rating of our earplugs is.
We were told by our manufacturer that the SNR of our earplugs is 34db, the highest of any of their earplugs.
This is due to us selecting the highest quality earplugs they had.
Unless you are trying to sleep in a really loud environments, most earplugs are going to block noise enough for you to have a more restful sleep.
The biggest problem you will actually have with other earplugs, is ill fitting earplugs.
If ear plugs don't fit properly, they will not block noise out correctly.
Even if you are a light sleeper, you will not need ear plugs that are completely noise cancelling, you just need earplugs that will block out background noise, reduce unwanted noise and reduce loud noises.
If you are trying to sleep in a really loud environment, we suggest wearing earplugs, but also trying to listen to white noise at the same time. White noise is perfect for hiding loud noises.
