Once we decided that we needed to create a sleep mist to truly help our customers have the best sleep experience possible, we sought out aromatherapists from all across Australia and paid them to create their best calming sleep mist for us to sample.
We sampled bottles from 5 different aromatherapists and one stood out.
No matter who we asked, they picked this sleep mist blend as their favourite.
The lady who made the bottle was truly passionate about creating the best deep sleep pillow spray for us, and it showed when compared to the others.
Commitment to the best, no expense spared
She spared no expense and refused to compromise in quality when creating our sleep mist.
When we asked if we could use plastic bottles in order to keep the price down for our customers, she refused as plastic would interfere with the essential oils.
She didn't dilute lavender in water and call it a sleep mist, nor did she blend just a couple of fragrances.
She carefully chose 4 high quality essential oils, all known to be calming, relaxing and sleep inducing.
She then perfected the ratios creating the most pleasant fragrance mixture we think you will ever smell.

Lavender is the most well known essential oil for sleep and relaxation.
WebMD also states that studies have been done showing lavender can reduce symptoms on anxiety.
Lavender Pillow Spray is commonly used to help people sleep.
However we didn't just add lavender to our pillow spray, we also added 4 other essential oils.
This creates the most pleasant blend of essential oils, without an overpowering lavender smell.
If you don't like lavender, you may still like our pillow spray.
Chamomile is famous for helping with sleep.
It is more commonly found in sleep teas, but it is also effective in it essential oil form.
This is why we added chamomile to our pillow spray.
There are 2 types of chamomile plant, Roman Chamomile, and German Chamomile.
German Chamomile is higher in the active ingredient chamazulene, which is why we selected this type of chamomile for our pillow spray.
Due to it's pleasant smell, Ylang Ylang is often an ingredient found in perfumes, such as Chanel No 5.
We wanted to create the best smelling pillow spray possible, so of course we added Ylang Ylang.
However, not only does Ylang Ylang smell amazing, it has also been shown in studies to boost mood, reduce depression and alleviate anxiety.
One study even found that by significantly reducing systolic and diastolic blood pressure rates as well as heart rate in healthy men, inhalation of ylang ylang had a sedative effect.
Clary sage is a little less known than the other ingredients of our pillow spray.
It is a flowering herb native to the Mediterranean Basin.
The essential oil has a clean, refreshing scent.
Clary Sage was traditionally used as an eye treatment but new research is starting to show that it can also reduce stress and help with depression.
Frankincense has a woody, spicy smell. This adds an amazing depth to the smell of our sleep spray. It blends amazingly well with the other essential oils.
It is not often used to help with sleep but we added it because we wanted our deep sleep pillow spray to smell amazing.
One study did show that Frankincense may help to lower depressive and anxious behaviors in mice and reduce stress in rats, however more studies in humans need to be done.
Witch Hazel is most often applied to the skin and scalp as it is widely known for its ability to ease inflammation and soothe sensitive skin.
It can also be ingested orally in small amounts, it is often added to herbal teas.
We added Witch Hazel to our deep sleep pillow spray as it helps the essential oils to mix into our pillow spray.
